Darryl Borden is a registered psychotherapist who has over 20 years of clinical experience. Darryl’s clinical focus has concentrated on working with people who were homeless, and assisting those dealing with trauma, abuse, addictions and complex mental health issues. He adopts an interpersonal neurobiology approach to psychotherapy and has a strong clinical interest in assisting clients who seek to develop an understanding of themselves and their relationships in this complex world. Darryl has extensive experience in working in program development, management and as an individual psychotherapist. He has worked with adults, youth and their parents in a vast array of mental health settings that includes group and individual psychotherapy.
Darryl has also spent many years in the community developing and facilitating workshops and on educating organizations on mental health issues.
My Approach to Pyshcotherapy
I have a strong clinical and creative approach when working with clients. I use a multi-disciplinary approach incorporating various evidence based therapies that include Internal Family Systems (IFS), Interpersonal Neurobiolgy, Attachment Based Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
